I want to start out by stating that I do not approve of guzzling an over abundance of alcohol. I don’t. But when you do, and we know that you do deed imbibe, we have the perfect “day after” place for you to hit up for some greasy goodness.

Vic and Bill’s is an institution. I’ve been hearing about their burgers since I was a wee little brat. That said, whilst growing up, there was one place, and one place only, to go to get the best burger in town. Now, in these pages, that place shall remain unnamed. Most will know of which venue I speak. That vaulted, Fountain City institution has been known as one of the best places for burgers for a long time. Maybe too long.

A few months back I took a couple from out of town to that “esteemed” establishment. The restaurant had fallen from their perch up high, atop a mountain of grilled ground beef, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. It was truly a shell of its former self.

For my money Vic and Bill’s Vol Burger is one of the best, if not the best, burger in town. It’s huge, and seasoned to perfection. Throw in a metric ton of those wonderful, giant, steak fries, and you have enough food to make your pants button burst off, shoot across the room, and poke someone’s eye out.

Back to our original statement. It’s also been our experience that after a heavy night o’ drinking, nothing will cure you like a delectable meal from Vic and Bill’s. Nothing.
